Sony introduced the new electronic book with its new Sony reader. It resembles Arthur C. Clarke’s newspad. Its sixe is 6.9″ x 4.9″ x .5″. it has the capacity of holding around 80 average sized eBooks at a time. Sony also provides you with a memory stick and SD card. This electronic book can represent pages in the form of paper. Earlier, there were several problems related to this. Those mainly include low contrast, strong backlighting, screen flicker and low resolution. This is the main reason why people avoid reading on the computers. The e-ink technology provides relatively high contrast, no screen flicker and good resolution.
The Sony has provided you with the facility of digital rights management (DRM) scheme. This allows the user to select different formats from the list of formats. It too enables you to download PDF files, web pages and more. e Ink writes the page just once in the microcapsules. Positive or negative charge holds the “dot” until the new page is opened on the screen. Arthur C. Clarke had explained the same thing in his novel 2001: A Space Odyssey.
