With the increased traffic on the road, less living space to live, decrease in forest area, population explosion, man has been thinking to introduce the flying car which will enable us to reach our destination on time. Moreover the place required for running vehicles will be greatly reduced and this can happen only when the flying cars will come into use. Automobiles and airplanes are both used to reach our destination point in a less time, but if traffic is there , how can this be possible. They are the inventions of the late 19 and 20 century. With this problem, the concept of the dual mode flying car came into being. This design has been proposed by the Robin Haynes with his SkyBlazer Road able aircraft. This design will automatically convert from car mode to airplane mode and back. With this you can fly and drive interchangeably, combining the speed of a jet plane with the door to door convenience of an automobile. You can travel in the same way as you travel in the car. It has one unique feature and that is it can operate both on the road and in the air.
The Skyblazer design automatically convert from a 250 mph personal jet plane to a road vehicle able to operate within normal traffic and even fit in a regular parking space or single car garage. This is an amazing thought. Our future lies on these concepts and one day these all vehicles will be made. The designer of this is trying to use the wing fold technology by which its wings can be folded completely and aeronautical components can be protected from the road stress. All flying surfaces and avionics sensors are to be securely stowed and hidden while in road mode.
The passenger compartment is a pressurized cabin with as much room as an automobile, seating for four adults, and a minimum baggage capacity of 50 lbs The satellite based navigation system chooses the closest landing field to your destination and keeps data on terrain, weather and other air traffic to compute the best flight path. Constantly updated displays are intended to make navigation simple, even in poor weather, while Skyblazer’s navigation system is designed to work door to door, guiding in the ground and in the air. The Skyblazer is awaiting investment to reach a stage of investment but it offers some interesting modifications to the dual air-road vehicle concept.
