Sony Vaio P series
This, being the first edition of IT-Swar in the year 2009, I decided to showcase something new and recently launched. Sony Corp. has an image of coming up with the most fancy laptops, we’ve rarely seen a powerful machine from the Sony garage and I believe it’s quite well known to all mankind that Sony hardly cares about what’s under the hood of the laptop or the pockets of the buyers.
With the Sony Vaio P series Notebooks, I won’t say they’ve completely changed their ideology but they’re definitely a bit easier on the pocket this time. The Ultra-portable Sony Vaio P is a 1.4 pound laptop with immense style and a decent engine to flaunt.
The most interesting feature of this notebook is the instant-start pseudo-OS that lets you access things like music, internet and email without having to fully boot Windows Vista (using the Xross Bar UI as the PlayStation3).
The netbook also has a Verizon WWAN 3G mobile broadband and 802.11n WiFi. The model incorporates a high-resolution, 1600×768, LED backlit 8-inch ultra-wide display, making it easy to view anything from entire spreadsheets to a full web-page (no side to side scrolling required).
It also incorporates real-time GPS functionality making it easy to find hotels, restaurants or any special sites of interest.
The Vaio P series Lifestyle PC will retail for about $900. Don’t miss it!
